Elevate Your Career Essential Resume and Interview Techniques to Land a Job

What if your first impression was your only chance?  We live in a world where first impressions are the last impression. We live in a world where opportunities aren’t given but are earned.

From Global Perspectives to Local Initiatives

On 15 July 2025, we celebrated the 10th anniversary of World Youth Skills Day by understanding and recognising the significance of practical skill development and career building abilities for the Youths. We embraced the opportunity  in partnership with Anudip Foundation by Launching 4 Practical Sessions following this year’s theme “Youth Empowerment through Digital and AI skills”

Getting Started: Interactive Resume Making

The session began with an interactive ice-breaker, that is through Resume Making. Students actively participated, it allowed students to connect with others and share their dreams and career aspirations. This activity not only engaged students with introductions, but actually gave them the opportunity to dive deeper in understanding different career options.

CV Vs Resume Making: The actual Difference

After the interactive ice-breaker, we began with the core detailed discussion to understand the difference between CV and Resume Making. The students came to understand when it’s appropriate to use Resume or CV, based on real life scenarios.

Resume Makeover: From Concept to Practice

One of the major session highlights was “Rapid Resume makeover” activity. With the help of real life examples and structured templates showcased and explained by Mr Rishabh Jain. Students were able to learn and create resumes. Not only that, they were able to distinguish between Good and bad resumes through layouts, formatting and language.

  • Highlight Major Accomplistments.
  • Make it Job Relevant.
  • Keep it clean and concise.
  • Prioritise on impact, not only listing down responsibilities.

Real life Interview Experiences

As an experienced professional, Mr Rishabh Jain himself shared heartwarming stories in an uplifting and humorous segment based on his personal experiences. Students were touched by the personal anecdotes which led one of the students to confess that insufficient research and lack of mock practice resulted in losing a job opportunity. These authentic and genuine stories brought a personal touch to the learning process.

Live Mock Interview Activity

Students volunteered to do a mock interview and the room turned into a real life mock interview floor. Students stepped up as candidates and learnt the art of honing their skills together with constructive feedback. This real life experience created an atmosphere where students were allowed to err, reflect and develop themselves.

Final Tips and Advices

The session concluded with encouraging insights such as confidence isn’t about being right but it’s about giving it a try. The mindset of choosing Progress over perfection. The students departed with wonderful insights not only in notes but a transformative mindset.

Word of Gratitude

We extend a heartfelt gratitude to Anudip Foundation for their invaluable support and Platform. And thanks to Our Volunteers who contributed both in skill and compassion to the experience. Together we shape the future of India, one skill at a time.
